Nick Malenko from Royston Blythe provides a step-by-step breakdown of how to achieve this season's bun - popular with celebs!

  1. Blow-dry your hair using a volumising mousse (such as L'Oréal tecni.art Volume Lift) spread through the roots and mid-lengths. Pull the hair into a high ponytail, ensuring the hair is pulled smooth with no lumps and bumps!
  2. Place heated rollers into the ponytail and allow to cool, or curl the ponytail in sections with medium-sized curling tongs. Backcomb the finished curls all over to add texture and body
  3. Create the bun by placing the curls around the crown of the head and securing with grips, using your fingers to tease it into the desired shape. If the hair is fine, use a hair doughnut to add some shape and body, placing it onto the curly ponytail and then pinning hair around it. Try and make sure there are no grips left showing
  4. Finish with a misting of hairspray and shine spray. Remember the key to keeping this look modern is allowing the bun to be slightly messy, whilst the hair around the head is pulled smooth and shiny.
