On Monday 22nd September the Wella World Studio in London welcomed 16 individuals all hoping to be chosen to go through to the final round of the F.A.M.E. Team 2016.

F.A.M.E Team Chancellor, Karine Jackson hosted and ensured the smooth running of the selection process with judges Antony Licata, Project Leader for F.A.M.E. Team, Andreas Stavrou, Vice President, Gary France, Vice Chancellor, Katie Mulcahy, Project Leader for Colour, Johanna Cree Brown, Michelle Griffin, Karen Dodds and Ann Herman as scrutiniser.

The morning began with an introduction from all the semi-finalists to the judges with a formal interview following later in the day. Judges were also scoring the individuals throughout the day on various aspects, including a one hour cutting section, hair-up section and their ability to recreate their photographic image.

The teams were divided into groups of four for their presentations where they had the opportunity to showcase their models, as well as highlight their team working and presentation abilities. The audience witnessed Greek methodology inspired hair-up, texture created from twist roping and braiding, and colours similar to that of weathered metals.

The eight finalists who will be on stage at Salon International hoping to become one of the chosen four are:

Rosie Binns, Ethos
Matthew Gavin, Christian Wiles Hairdressing
Jamie Benny, Rush
Casey Coleman, Ocean Hairdressing
Melissa Timperley, Sassoons
Alfie Pfeffer, Headmasters
James Earnshaw, Francesco Advanced Academy
Zoe Williams, Ken Picton

Karine Jackson said,

It was fantastic seeing the individuals throughout the day and the level has been so high this year. I looked around the audience and saw so many past F.A.M.E. Team members which were so lovely to see. Huge congratulations to the 8 finalists and I encourage those that didn’t get through to come back again next year!
