The Anglian Academy of Hair offers an inspirational and contemporary working environment for technical and artistic excellence in women's hairdressing and traditional barbering.

Courses

NVQ Level 2 in Barbering
You will need to work in a salon to gain salon experience, this could be voluntary.
You will attend the Academy one day a week for theory and practical classes.
The course will take 18-24 months to complete, but can be done quicker depending on how hard you work.
After completing this qualification, you will be a qualified hairdresser. The qualification includes cutting, colouring, reception, shampooing, health and safety, conditioning and blow-drying.

City & Guilds Cutting, Styling and Colouring
This course is designed for individuals wishing to learn the skills of cutting and colouring hair.  
Candidates will learn through practical and theory sessions.
You will be required to attend one evening a week. The last five weeks will be on a Saturday during the day. The course will last 20 weeks plus five Saturdays.

Cost – £2,400.00 inc VAT
The above costs include a hairdressing kit, text book, portfolio, registration and certification with City & Guilds and consumables used within the salon.

City & Guilds Cutting, Facial Hair, Finishing and Patterns
This course is designed for individuals wishing to learn the skills of cutting and styling men's hair.
Candidates will learn through practical and theory sessions.
You will be required to attend one session a week. The last five weeks will be working in a salon. The course will last 20 weeks plus five Saturdays

Cost – £2,400.00 inc VAT
The above costs include a hairdressing kit, text book, portfolio, registration and certification with City & Guilds and consumables used within the salon.

City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 in Barbering – four technical units (short course)
20-25 weeks working towards cutting, facial hair, styling and hair patterns
