After requesting natural blonde highlights, I've come back from the salon with what can only be described as straw yellow in colour!

After requesting a natural blonde with several different colours, I've come back from the salon with what can only be described as straw yellow in colour. Is there any way I can get rid of this awful straw/fake colour?

I have some purple shampoo but I have a feeling that probably won't be enough to tone it down. Help please! I'm off to a ball on Friday, and I definitely won't be going if I look like this :-(

I think the consultation wasn't as in-depth as it needed to be before you had your hair coloured. If the hair is straw yellow then violet shampoo will not neutralise it enough to soften it down. Maybe you should go back and speak to your colourist, explaining that you are not happy and you possibly should go with some pictures of what you want. They should then be able to fix it and get the colour you desired.
