I was wondering if you could help me? I dyed my hair not that long ago a red colour, but ever since I dyed it I have been trying so hard to get rid of it and change to a blonde colour. I even tried home stripping it!
I would like to know how expensive or cheap it would be to get my hair stripped by a professional and then dyed blonde. What would be your solution?
I’m sorry to say that red is a very difficult colour to remove from hair and as you’ve experienced it cannot always be removed in the first instance! It is possible to remove red colouring; however it may take longer than you initially expected. I would always recommend having it done professionally as a well trained technician will be able to advise you on all the different processes involved and the best way forward. He/she may feel that you will have to remain strawberry blond for a while in-between the red and the blonde, which I personally like. Regular treatments and haircut will also help to maintain a healthy condition. A change of colour appointment at HOB salons starts from £58.

Prices of colour services in salons all vary depending on the area, person doing it, how long it will take and also what you are having done.
If I was you I would be looking for a good colourist in the local vicinity and then go and have a good consultation armed with all the information you can take them. They would want to know what you want, what you don't like and also what has been done to the hair in the past.
Ask as many questions as you can so that you know roughly what is going to happen and don't be afraid to ask the price, colour changes often tend not to be written down on a price list as they are normally quoted on consultation. This is because they might take longer or use lots of expensive colour products, and as we all know time is money!
I hope you get the colour you want and love being a blonde.
