IÕm thinking of going blonde with fine highlights so I can eventually go all over grey. Is this the best way to go?

Hi there,

I have long dark hair but I am completely grey around my temples/face, hairline and on top - about 30%. Normally I colour it dark brown but I feel I would like to go older as I’m in my mid 50s. I thought about going blonde with fine streaks so eventually I can go all over grey.

What would you suggest? I am very fair skinned and blue eyed.

Thank you,

Embracing grey is very liberating and it doesn't mean that once you do it you have to stay grey!

With your colouring I think that highlighting the grey areas around your face would be a great statement. Fine highlights in an ash based blonde with a cool brunette shade would be a very nice way to start the ball rolling into letting your white hair shine through.

Remember to start using silver shampoo, I like L'Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Silver. This will make your new colour glow!

Hi there,

You are on the right track! Light, fine blonde highlights are the perfect way to camouflage your white hair and it is definitely a great way to eventually let the white hair take over in time.

Go for it! Have a new modern cut to give you a new look and you’re on your way to what you want to achieve.

Good luck with the new you.
