I tried to create the Ombre effect and it has gone wrong!

Share

Hi,

I have bleached the ends of my hair hoping it will look like an Ombré effect but it turned out so bad!! It's turned an orange/ginger colour, I want to dye it back to dark brown before I go back to school but people are saying if I dye it brown my hair will turn green?

I can't go to a hairdresser, what should I do?? I don't want my hair turning green!

If your hair has turned a ginger colour then when you take it darker you won't go green. Hair turns khaki only when the lightened hair is blonde or pale blonde to start with and you put a flat brown over the top of it without adding any natural warmth. I recommend you use a long lasting semi-permanent colour that will add colour to the hair without lifting it any further. If you are finding it difficult to choose a colour that is your natural shade then always try and match it closely to the mid-lengths of your hair, and if you are stuck between two shades choose the lighter of the two as this will look better as darker ends is never a good look.
