Nelson Brown was the Creative Director for Vidal Sassoon for ten years and his core beliefs are based on this Sassoon training.  Nelson believes in building the blocks in hair shape from classic to advanced.  These techniques have seen him cutting on stage around the world.

Nelson has considerable experience of London Fashion Week hair (dressing hair / red carpet hair), and from London Fashion Week and beyond, his international backstage experience is priceless with clever, quick tips and techniques to dressing hair.

Nelson is also passionate about training and offers several high-quality courses, either in his salon browns in Dumfries, Scotland, or in your salon.

Classic Cutting: These timeless courses include one-length cutting, layering & graduation.  The building blocks of all haircutting.  Great refresher for all stylists.

Contemporary Cutting: Clever sectioning placement, the ability to remove weight technically, covering polish, blending, refining with scissors only.  For those stylists ready for more knowledge and have mastered Classics.

Advanced Cutting: Taking raw inspiration and attaching shape and form to the head.  Knowledge on how to work on trend-led hair shapes that are original.
