Amy Wardley Of John Olivers (Ipswich) Is A Finalist In GoldwellÕs Color Zoom Competition

Talented hair colourist, Amy Wardley from John Olivers (Ipswich) is a UK finalist in the Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge 2014 – one of the biggest hairdressing competitions in the world.

The competition, led by professional colour brand Goldwell, invites colourists from all over the UK to interpret a key trend. This year’s trend is 'REALLUSION', a world full of surprises, using optical illusions to reveal hidden secrets and driven by precision. Entrants used Goldwell colour products to create their look on a model and to demonstrate their individual interpretations.

Hundreds of photographic entries were whittled down to just five finalists in each category. The entries were judged by leading industry names including hair icon Beverly C (MBE), renowned colourist Karine Jackson and key press.

Amy’s inspired image really impressed the judges, and was deemed a very strong entry, she said about her achievement,

I’m delighted to have got this far in the Color Zoom challenge; it’s great for my talent to be recognised at this level. I’m so proud, and looking forward to the next stage of the competition where I find out if I’m a UK winner!

The UK winners will be announced on the 28th July at a glittering party in central London. If Amy is selected as a UK winner she will travel to the International Finals in Berlin to compete against colourists from around the world to become a Global Color Zoom winner!
