It’s been a busy period for the team at Anglian Academy of Hair. First off the academy took part in a charity week for Children in Need where both staff and students attended in non-uniform, some even wearing their onesies! Anglian made a total of £102.00 for the charity.

Kate Wells and Sarah Fuller added to Anglian’s already professional portfolio.

Kate, a barber tutor at Anglian Academy, achieved the Habia Level 4 Male Grooming qualification. She was involved with the first group of students to achieve this qualification. The Habia Level 4 is a new, exciting and high level programme covering a wide range of advanced male grooming skills. The course incorporates modern and traditional gent’s hairdressing, shaving and creating patterns in the hair, all at an excellent price.

The course will cover:
Modern gents hairdressing
Traditional gents hairdressing
Creating patterns in hair and additional training and development skills

Kate spoke of her achievement,

As well enhancing my barbering skills it also improved my teaching ability. The course was very inspirational and I look forward to putting my skills into practice with my clients and my students.

Sarah Fuller, tutor at Anglian Academy, achieved the Matrix Colour Masters in November 2012. CRAFT Colour Mastery is a comprehensive program designed to give salon colourists/trainers the tools they need to achieve their personal best and become masters of their craft. It is designed to ground colourists in the core elements of colour mastery including, hair colour chemistry and hair structure, consultation and formulation, colour correction and elements of hair colour design.

Colour mastery immerses colourists in a unique environment that is hands on, interactive and self empowering. It opens new doors and provides a powerful path to success.

Speaking of her Colour Masters Sarah said,

The day with Hooker and Young was very inspirational. Colour correction was challenging but very rewarding. I have come away with new and fresh ideas I can use on my clients and teach to my students. The course was thoroughly enjoyable and it was a fantastic experience.
