Anglian Academy of Hair Spectacular 2013

Share

Anglian Academy of Hair recently held their annual competition at The Open in Norwich. The success of this annual competition is rapidly making this event the biggest and most spectacular of its kind in the East Anglian region.

Over 70 students from schools throughout Norfolk and Suffolk participated, with their results being staged in a spectacular evening show to a capacity audience bringing down every seat in the house! The Anglian Academy Art Team closed the show with a stage production called ‘Paradise’ with a mixture of dancers and models.

The compère for the evening was Rob Lamarr whose wit and repartee kept the whole thing moving along. The judges for the event included Sue Barker of Barkers Hairdressing Supplies, Jonathon McKinnon of Headmasters, Lisa Webster – A former Tutor of the academy, Louise Rogers from John Olivers Ipswich, Val Thacker of Great Yarmouth College and Alistair Reardon of The Cottage Hair and Beauty. All judges unanimously agreed that the standard of work was exemplary. The product prizes and £100 education voucher were donated by Barkers Hairdressing Suppliers and Matrix.

Anglian Academy Director, Karen Pymer, was thrilled with the event saying,

The support and contribution from all the staff and learners goes from strength to strength every year, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to recognise everyone’s effort. The Academy Art Team also put on a stage production this year and from the feedback already received we are delighted with the response.
