Anne Veck Salons Raise £1,375 for Sobell House

Share

Bicester salon, Anne Veck, has proved to be a cut above, as it raises £1,375 for Oxford-based charity, Sobell House.

The award-winning eco-friendly salon, situated in Crown Walk and part of the new Pioneer Square shopping development in Bicester, offered haircuts for £25 and colour services for £55, with people descending on the salon throughout the day to take advantage of the special charity rate.

All funds raised on the day went to Sobell House, which has provided care for the people of Oxfordshire for over 40 years and offers physical, psychological, social and spiritual care to those facing life threatening illness, death and bereavement.

Keith Mellen, Director at Anne Veck, said:

The day was a huge success. The whole team, as well as everyone who came into the salon on the day had a great time raising money for such a good cause.

One of our team’s mother-in-law recently spent the last 12 months of her life at Sobell House and received such fantastic care that we were keen to be able to give something back, so we are delighted with the amount of money we were able to raise for a very special charity.

The charity event caps an outstanding 12 months for the Anne Veck Group, as its Oxford-based salon was crowned Green Salon of the Year at the 2017 Salon Business Awards, while Anne has also gained international recognition, having recently been shortlisted for the 2018/19 International Hairdresser of the Year award.
