Award-winning hairdresser Anne Veck has done it again, scooping up the prize for the Commercial Colour Category award at the Big One Awards with Tribu-te, Paris.

Hosted in Paris, the finalists took to the stage of the Hair Congress to discover together the names of the winners. A truly unique moment for all involved. Winning over the judges with her beautiful collection ‘Mood Indigo’ was French born Anne Veck.

Anne’s collection ‘Mood Indigo’ saw Anne take home the award for the Commercial Colour Category.

Mood Indigo is a beautiful blend of blue, violet, and indigo, these hues perfectly radiate power and charm. Known to open the third eye, indigo helps tap into our intuition. When in the presence of indigo, we become more in tune with our perception.

Talking about her winning collection, Anne Veck says: “Mood Indigo is the title of a 1930 jazz composition by Duke Ellington, later interpreted by my favourite singer of all time, Nina Simone, in her 1958 debut album Little Girl Blue. Ms. Simone was, of course, an indefatigable campaigner for civil rights and she is my inspiration for this collection, in which I celebrate the beauty and strength of black women and black hair, their power and their charm.”

Speaking on her win Anne Veck says: “I am over the moon with this award and to win it in my home country means the world. This collection is a beautiful reminder of why we should celebrate and champion woman of all ethnicities. Thank you to everyone involved in creating these beautiful creations.”
