Oxford salon group, Anne Veck has added another green accolade to their trophy cabinet, after winning ‘Best Environmentally Friendly Business’ at the National Hairdressing Federation (NHF) Hair & Beauty Business Awards 2017.

The Oxford and Bicester-based business fought off competition from finalists across the country to win the accolade as part of a glittering ceremony, which took place at The Vox in Birmingham. Launched earlier this year to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHF, the awards are designed to honour the best hair and beauty businesses in the industry.

This win marks the second eco award that the Anne Veck team has received in just six months, after scooping the 'Green Salon of the Year' accolade at the national Salon Business Awards in July. In addition, the business picked up six international awards in September and two national awards in November, when Style Director Emmanuel Esteban scooped Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards 2017 and the same title at the Black Beauty/Sensationnel Hair Awards 2017 – the third time he’s received the crown.

We’re delighted to have won the Best Environmentally Friendly Business Award. As a business, Anne Veck salons have always made eco-friendly initiatives a top priority. That’s why we use BlueGenCeramic fuel cell technology to reduce energy use by half and electricity usage by 95%, have implemented water saving features, LED energy efficient lighting and made our telephone calls and broadband 100% carbon neutral. To receive recognition for our efforts as an Oxford-based salon group at a national awards ceremony makes us feel proud and encourages us to continue to strive to be even kinder to the environment in the future. - Anne Veck
