Anne Veck Wins Creative Excellence Award

Huge congratulations to Anne Veck, who is Good Salon Guide’s 2022 Creative Excellence Award winner.

Good Salon Guide Director, Gareth Penn, surprised Anne with her award whilst she was teaching a class at City of Oxford College.

2021 was a busy year for Anne Veck, creating not one, not two, not even three, but a huge five collections:  Glam Rock, Above Ground, Lawless, A Murder of Crows, and Le Femme Fatal. Each collection supported a crucial and important message; from bringing awareness to the fashion industry’s impact on the environment, to calling for more sustainable practices and inclusivity within the hair and beauty industry.

Along with salon Managing Director Keith Mellen, Anne is also the brains behind Salon Re:Source, a digital ‘toolkit’ created to educate stylists and salon owners on the actions they can take in order to become a more sustainable business. Available free of charge, the toolkit has inspired over 200 salons to look at the environmental implications of their business and to consider ways of making a difference.

And that’s not all, 2021 also saw Anne taking her seat at the (virtual) table for her first Cabinet Office Meeting to discuss the state of play in the world of hairdressing and apprenticeships alongside Prime Minister Boris Johnson, senior Cabinet Ministers, and other business leaders.
