Leeds Academy For Hairdressing and Barbering (LAFHAB) is very excited to announce that Bev Boseley-Yemm – one of the academy’s owners – will be shaving her head to raise money for Wheatfield’s Hospice.
Bev worked at Wheatfield’s Hospice for many years and even though it could be hard at times she loved her job. Whilst there Bev used to organise fundraising events, but since leaving to run her busy academy she hasn’t had the time – until now, where Bev is going ahead with a sponsored head shave! Carrying out the shave will be Simon Shaw – European Artistic Director for Wahl – who has kindly donated his time to the event.
Speaking of the hospice Bev said,
It really is a great place and I am hoping with your help I can raise as much money for them as possible!
The services provided at Wheatfield’s are;
- inpatient care
- family support (including bereavement support)
- community clinical nurse specialist
- complementary therapies
- spiritual care
- day therapy and outpatient services
The head shave will be taking place on Wednesday 27th November at 2.30pm at LAFHAB, 76 Kirkgate in Leeds. You can donate by popping into the Academy and filling in a sponsorship form or you can go to Bev’s just giving page: www.justgiving.com/Bev-Boseley-Yemm
