When ‘The British Queen of Colour’, aka Sophia Hilton of Not Another Salon, London, accepted our invitation to present her colour and up-do techniques to the teams at both our Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton salons we were delighted! After all, this girl is seriously difficult to book a course with, never mind to actually dedicate two days with us at the salons!

Sophia is currently THE most-wanted, super-talented colourist in the country. As well as being a British Hairdressing Award winner with her creativity featured in Vogue Magazine, she has a massive international industry following and an uber-cool salon on Brick Lane in London’s East End! Royston and Nick are passionate that you can never stop learning and, that in the ever evolving world of style and fashion, it is more important than ever to be educated and inspired by the very latest hairdressing trends and techniques.

Balayage is a huge force in hair currently and Sophia’s the master specialist. Her inspiration over the two days took our team of colourists to a whole new specialist level.

True Freehand colour is an art, and master Balayage specialists are hard to find. Don’t confuse it with a dip-dye, true Balayage can be applied all the way from the roots, which is a much softer more natural looking highlight. Clients love it because it lasts for so long!

According to her Instagram post the following day, Sophia also had a fabulous time with us at the salons. She quoted:

It’s extremely rare that I put on Instagram work that isn’t mine (as I don’t believe one should do that) but I couldn’t resist putting this up. This is the work of Royston Blythe salon after my 2 day course. The final looks are by far the best I’ve ever had from a class and Nick and Royston should be so proud of such a talented team.
