Nelson Brown of browns in Dumfries was requested as a special guest speaker for a ladies dinner which was held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event, which took place on Friday 4th October at the Parkhouse, Cairndale Hotel, Dumfries, saw Nelson present five models alongside his in-house fashion stylist Katie Dyet. Katie handpicked the clothing for the show from Vintage Sisters, a boutique based in Castle Douglas.

Each look was inspired by hair previously showcased at London Fashion Week where Nelson and his head stylist Trae assisted James Pecis in nine of the spring/summer 14 shows.

For the Macmillan ladies evening Nelson presented a breathtaking finale where a box bob wig was whipped from Katie’s head to reveal her long waist-length hair beneath. Nelson had carefully hidden all of Katie’s hair underneath the wig using a dry wig wrap. The aim of the finale was not only to shock the audience but to show women that even with hair loss they can still look and feel fabulous.

All guests had a wonderful evening raising money for a great cause!
