Carol Spencer Retires from the Fellowship

Share

For many hairdressers there has been one person at the Fellowship for British Hairdressing head office that has been a reassuring voice at the other end of the telephone – but after 25 years, general manager Carol Spencer has retired to spend time in her garden and with her beloved family.

The formidable force behind the Council, shows and events, Carol has been a fountain of all knowledge and has seen many of the industry’s top names grow from apprentice to the superstar stylists they are today. Carol said:

There’s not many people who can say they loved going to work every day for 30 years, but I genuinely did. This industry is incredible, full of people who are thoughtful, hardworking, dedicated, and passionate about raising standards and ensuring British hairdressing remains number one in the world. It has been a pleasure to have worked alongside you all and I will continue to be watching from the side lines.

Chair Barry Stephens, who recently took Carol and the team for a special farewell lunch, added:

There is no one quite like Carol and I know the industry will join me in saying a huge thank you for all her work and dedication to the Fellowship and hairdressers across the UK. She will be sorely missed by the head office team and myself, but we wish her best wishes and hope she enjoys her retirement.
