Colour Master Seminar

Held at Schwarzkopf Professional’s London partner hub, Hunter Collective, industry experts Hooker & Young joined the Schwarzkopf Professional team to present their colour inspiration day, part of the eleven day Ask Education Colour Masters course.

‘Be ready to change who you are as a colourist and become a master of colour!’ The Schwarzkopf Professional Colour Master seminar is an eleven day course spread out over the year designed to inspire and challenge hairdressers. Enrolling on the course, hairdressers can expect to experience the very highest standard of colour education. The Royal Master Academy is innovative in its holistic approach to colour knowledge, immersing the hairdressers in the IGORA Royal system for a comprehensive overview of all things colour receiving practical coaching and hands-on experience in all aspects of colour education. Schwarzkopf Professional’s leading colour experts are on hand throughout the course to share their insight and help the hairdressers translate trends into commercial looks.

As part of the course, Schwarzkopf Professional invited none other than the all round experts themselves, Gary Hooker and Michael Young from Hooker & Young to spend a day with the delegates. With a focal point of colour inspiration, the talented duo kicked off the day with a presentation on themselves and showcased some of their latest collections, commenting on different colour techniques and how to create various textures in the hair using colour.

The duo then tasked the stylists to create inspiration mood boards based on everything they had learnt in the session. Delving in deeper, Gary and Michael demoed colour techniques on blocks which the students were then challenged to recreate taking inspiration from their mood boards and then present to the rest of the group. The atmosphere was buzzing from the moment the students stepped foot in the door. Commenting on the day, one of the attendees said:
