Economic Downturn DoesnÕt Stop The Successful HOB Group Expanding

As the economy continues to struggle, the HOB Salons group expand with the addition of 4 new and renowned industry names, all adding to the successful HOB Salons & Education family.

In addition to opening new branches in Gerrard’s Cross, Potters Bar and Hertford as well as HOB Man, the now 24 strong salon group welcomed a host of renowned industry faces to their team, to help take the company to the next level.

Marketing was the first port of call as new Marketing Manager, Kate Hart, was appointed in February this year. With six years experience as Marketing Manager at Sassoon, Kate brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a strong background for the hairdressing arena. Strengthening and maintaining the HOB Salons brand, Kate has quickly established herself as one of the core members of a growing team.

The company’s Area Management team has also seen new additions with Tigi’s former Global Education Manager, Phil Collins joining the HOB group. Bringing his passion for retail and expertise in the hairdressing field to the multi award-winning group, his personal understanding of running a salon has seen him driving service’s and retail sales from the outset. Ensuring all 24 salons are running to the highest standard and delivering support to each branch where needed, Phil was soon joined by a fourth addition to the Area Management team with latest recruit Jeff Dawson. Bringing an innate understanding to the role following extensive industry experience progressing companies such as Rush, Jeff’s specialises in business development. Working alongside fellow HOB Area Managers Phil Collins, Lisa Simbler and Natasha Grossman (currently on maternity leave), Jeff also joins identical twin brother Sean Dawson who is currently General Manager for the ever expanding group.

Leading the technical training for the group and HOB Education, 2011 saw Faye Turner join the team. Previously of Sassoon’s, Faye joins the HOB Creative and Education team heading up both internal and external education, as well as all platform colour work for the company.

Speaking about the latest additions to the team, HOB Salons & Academy’s International Creative Director Akin Konizi say’s,

We are always looking to invest in the business and having the right team around you is essential to driving success. The welcoming of Kate, Phil, Faye and Jeff has strengthened the team, and the skills and experience they bring to the group will really support us in our future plans.
