Share

All eyes are on the brand-new hair and fashion trends from Schwarzkopf Professional's 2:2018 Essential Looks Collection, REdefining You. This season is all about the individual as Schwarzkopf Professional celebrates your YOUniverse in a special makeover edition.

International Creative Director for Schwarzkopf Professional, Simon Ellis describes the collection: “Our 2018 #REdefiningyou Collection brings together Global Influencers and the world’s top Hair Gurus to share the looks, innovations and trends that are right in, right now. We’re talking empowerment, individuality and inspiration from the runway - reinterpreted for you and the way you live today. With three inspirational trends, we’ve created expert makeovers to suit every style.”

With six stunning looks across three trends, it's time to explore your YOUniverse with the #REdefining You Collection.

Within each collection is a catwalk and salon look. With a clear differentiation, the Catwalk Looks keep a strong connection to the fashion world with edgy and raw aspirational style. Whilst the Salon Looks showcase a well-defined, cool commercial variation, perfect for everyday client makeovers. How will YOU REinterpret this season's trends?

#GLOBALTRIBE

A key trend for autumn/winter 2018 - today’s modern tribes draw diverse global influences into one YOUniverse - fully celebrating the individual. First spotted on the runway, fashion sees global natives’ rock eastern influences with a folklore twist.

Catwalk Look

Expect a strong shoulder length shape with a softer fringe, the Global Tribe Catwalk Look has been cut and styled by Schwarzkopf Professional's Global Styling Ambassador Richard Ashforth. The contrasting textures of wavy and straight beautifully highlight the autumnal mauve colour twist and grungy cool-blonde tones from Global Colour Ambassador Lesley Jennison.

Salon Look

The Salon Look variation has also been cut and styled by Richard Ashforth; hair is slightly shorter with layers of loose vs. tight curls. This technique perfectly showcases special guest Emre Ayaksiz's seasonal soft biscuit and mocha colour combinations, for a totally wearable take on everyday Boho Chic.

#NEWFORMAL

This trend is all about oversized silhouettes, architectural details, block brights and precision cutting - with a nod to Marc Jacobs, this trend shouts empowerment with a contemporary take on power dressing and strict styling.

Catwalk Look

This season's key New Formal Catwalk Look has been cut and styled by Schwarzkopf Professional's Global Session Ambassador, Tyler Johnston; the cut is pure precision as Tyler reinvents the iconic Pageboy Bob. Colour Queen Lesley Jennison adds glossy tonal depths in a jigsaw effect, for a lo-fi colour vibe that creates different moods as the hair shifts shape and reconnects. With an overall immaculate finish, this look makes a statement!

Salon Look

The Salon Look takes this powerful trend into everyday-accessible, as Tyler creates a longer variation of the classic bob; with a layered finish, this traditional style is all grown up! Colour Guru and Instagram sensation Jenny Strebe adds a modern, muted hue of light pastel pink on tones of blonde for a classy, yet captivating look. It’s this season’s wearable makeover for the colour shy.

#LUCIDNOCTURNES

The 2018 IGORA #RoyalTakeOver continues as the power of the Co-Lab remains a mega trend! This season Schwarzkopf Professional has teamed-up with two colour stars to develop a modern take on seductive midnight colours and two radiant new looks that shine through the night.

Catwalk Look

The edgy Lucid Nocturnes Catwalk Look has been created by Schwarzkopf Professional's North American Colour Director, Rossa Jurenas; showcasing a strong graphic shape and choppy outline, Rossa's co-created shades of iridescent purple and blue spotlight the fringe for a punky twist that's total seduction.

Salon Look

Californian Colour-Trendsetter, Linh Phan crafted the Salon Look; think mysterious sophistication as Lihn goes for longer styling with natural texture, paired with a super-short fringe. Burgundy and dark ivy tones frame the face to produce a striking mood with gothic nuances, ideal for an adventurous transition into Autumn/Winter 2018.
