F.A.M.E. Team 2018 Applications Now Open

The search for 2018’s F.A.M.E. Team has officially BEGUN! Applications are open and the competition to win a place on one of the industry’s biggest artistic teams is on.

Short for The Fellowship Academy of Merit and Excellence, this annual initiative was created by The Fellowship to nurture, encourage and promote an elite foursome of up-and-coming hairdressing megastars. It’s one of the most sought-after artistic teams in the industry, offering much more than just the chance to improve your skills.

Past team members include famous names such as Jamie Stevens, Sharon Peake, Errol Douglas MBE and Umberto Giannini, so it’s not hard to see why a place on the team is so prestigious.

The F.A.M.E. Team are given an amazing platform in the industry to build their profile, network with their icons and learn from the crème de la crème of the hairdressing industry. Not only this, but they’re given multiple stage opportunities at acclaimed trade exhibitions and create multiple collections throughout the year. Past teams have also travelled to Dubai, Australia and South Africa to showcase their talents on stage at exhibitions.

The process of choosing these team members is a meticulous one! Once you’ve been chosen as a semi-finalist, you’ll be invited to be judged on your technical skills along with your fellow contestants, before having a formal interview. If you’re then chosen as a finalist, your next task is to perform on stage at Salon International and wow the judging panel with your creativity, innovation and passion.

You can only apply to be a part of The F.A.M.E. Team if you’re between the ages of 21 and 30 on 1 January 2018. You must be a Fellowship member, or working in a Fellowship Member’s Salon and you must be fully qualified (i.e. 3 minimum years’ experience). You will need the support of your salon as there are significant costs involved and no salon can have more than one person in The F.A.M.E. Team at any one time.
