F.A.M.E. Team 2018 Finalists Are Announced

Share

Fifteen F.A.M.E. Team hopefuls made their way to the L’Oréal International Academy in London recently. Their mission? To make the cut as 15 became whittled down to eight F.A.M.E Team finalists.

The event was hosted by President Karine Jackson and Chancellor Ken Picton, with the judging panel hosting some very familiar Fellowship faces; Errol Douglas MBE, Luke Benson, Ashleigh Hodges, Michelle Griffin, Simon Shaw and Andreas Stavrou.

To inspire the finalists, the current F.A.M.E. Team - Gavin McIntyre, James Earnshaw, Jordanna Cobella and Ria Kulik - took to the stage to share their experiences and highlights so far and to pass on their most valuable pieces of advice for this stage of the competition. Host Ken Picton also brought former F.A.M.E. Team member Jamie Stevens out onto the stage for an interview, highlighting just how much this initiative can propel your career to dizzying heights.

The hair work created by each of these talented finalists was astounding, with quirky colours, eccentric shapes and edgy editorial styles, all pulled together with faultless fashion styling to create the overall image. Karine says,

What a fantastic day at the L’Oréal Academy! All 15 finalists did so well and united as a team throughout the day. I’m excited that we have such a great final eight; the standard of hair work was so high and the seven that didn’t make it through should be really proud of themselves. I hope to see them all next year!

The eight finalists who will be on stage at Salon International hoping to become the chosen four are:

Ellie Bond, Spargo Hairdressing, Basildon

Nicola Clifford, NJUK Hair & Beauty Clowne, Chesterfield

Ashley Cockrell, Percy & Reed, London

Patrick McDougall, Rainbow Room International, Glasgow

Peter Mellon, Medusa Hair, Edinburgh

Jessica Neil, KH Hair Group, Midlands

James Nicklin, Tim Scott-Wright at The Hair Surgery, Midlands

Katie Prescott, Toni&Guy, Canary Wharf

I think we’re in for a real treat at Salon International. Good luck to the final eight and I hope to see everybody there supporting our future stars. - Karine Jackson
