Fellowship Hosts Long Hair Workshop

Share

Long hair is more overwhelmingly popular than ever at the moment, and while that can mean a reduction in cutting appointments, smart salons know that offering hair-up and dressing services can provide an alternative option for those clients that refuse to go for the chop!

With party season just around the corner, the Fellowship for British Hairdressing brought long hair centre stage with its Long Hair Workshop, hosted by Kerry Mather, Vice-Chairperson, and mentored by a panel of styling experts: Anne Veck, Danilo Giangreco, David Rae and Karoliina Saunders. Between them, this talented bunch have experience in hairdressing awards, stage work, session styling, bridal hair and occasion hair, making them the perfect panel to provide hands-on advice and technical support to guests on the course.

Each student provided their own model and created the long-hair look of their choice, with our guest experts on hand to provide insight and guidance, as well as sharing tips and techniques for creating looks that last – always important when it comes to working with long hair. Finished looks ranged from retro-inspired waves and elegant chignons to avant-garde up-dos and contrasting textured looks incorporating multiple techniques.
