A Coningsby hair and beauty salon has received three awards from the Good Salon Guide for service, presentation and appearance of the salon.

Cherries Hair & Beauty has received five star awards for the Barbers, Hairdressing and Beauty Salon.

Salon Owner Claire Sabberton accepted the award for the Barbers section, Kimberly Cottingham, Hair Stylist Manager, took the Hairdressing award and Beauty Manager Stacey Ruddock received the Beauty salon award.

Claire’s father, John, said:

It’s a fantastic achievement. We’ve been trading for four years now. We started out with two members and we now have ten.

Cherries recently had an extension built to incorporate the beauty side into the business including a sauna and a spa.

John continued,

We opened that side in May earlier this year. That covers the beauty side of things and it’s doing really well so far. After receiving these awards, we need to keep the service and experience up to a high level because the people at the Good Salon Guide will check up on us every few months.

I would also like to thank Bernie Clarke who helped with the construction of the extension.

Dawson Penn, Chairman of the Good Salon Guide, said,

I am delighted that Cherries Hair & Beauty has succeeded in reaching the standards required to become a member of the Guide. The Good Salon Guide highlights the professional status of hairdressers and will ensure that clients can have confidence in their choice of hairdresser.

Claire Sabberton added,

The Good Salon Guide is the long awaited measure that enables clients to know their hairdresser is a true professional.
