Gallaghers wins five star accolade

Gallaghers has recently been awarded five stars by The Good Salon Guide - on only its first inspection. The salon inspection takes into account standards of salon decor, staff training, atmosphere and salon services.

Sarah Gallagher, salon owner said,

Both myself and the team have worked really hard to get this rating. I opened Gallaghers in October last year. I had never been involved in the hair industry myself but my husband Tony who is my Artistic Director has been a hairdresser for many years in this area and has had his own salons. My experience is in hospitality while I was working for a luxury hotel group. Tony was looking to slow down somewhat and I came up with the idea of transferring my skills to the hair industry and open my own salon.

Chris Baker of The Good Salon Guide presented the certificate and Mayor Ray Mallon was on hand to offer his congratulations.
