ghd Style Squad Presentation Evening

Friends, family and colleagues gathered recently to celebrate the end of an eventful year for the ghd Style Squad.

It was a chance for both ghd and the Style Squad to come together to reflect on what’s been a phenomenally successful year. From the Glamour Beauty Festival to the Azores launch event, to backstage at London Fashion Week to shooting with Little Mix, the 2015-16 Style Squad really have been there and done it all!

Handpicked 12 months ago, the squad have been on a rollercoaster journey of education, events, inspiration and a shed load of hard work. The inimitable duo of Jo Robertson and Zoë Irwin has led these 12 youngsters through a year of creative experiences and both revelled in the opportunity to celebrate their journey.

Being part of the Style Squad gives stylists the chance to network and learn from our industry elite, as well as create a powerful portfolio, comments Jo, it’s been a true pleasure to work with the squad and all of us at ghd are immensely proud of their work and enthusiasm over the last year.

Splitting into pairs, each member of the Style Squad took to the stage to showcase their favourite look, talking about their inspirations, trends and techniques as well as their experiences on the squad.

There was then a special prize presented to Style Squad Student of the Year, Grant Williams. According to Jo,

Grant is what makes the Style Squad; he embodies what we try to do: nurture talent. He is always early, stays late and is so passionate. Everything you’d expect from a Style Squad member.
