Share

ghd is celebrating its sweet 16th with the launch of a professional-only Instagram account this summer.

Now that ghd professional has turned 16, it’s time to celebrate the only way millennials know how – with a shiny new social media account. Joining @ghdhair on Instagram this summer is @ghdhairpro – the brand’s sister account which is all about celebrating all things professional at ghd.

The new profile in town will be sharing nothing but beautiful, trend-led hair created by ghd partners across the globe. From perfectly glossy waves to inspire your commercial salon clients to high-fashion hair created for the runways, @ghdhairpro is the perfect addition to your feed for a good hair day, every day.

You’ll also be able to enjoy an insight into the world of ghd’s brand ambassadors as they create work, share their techniques and tricks and reveal the products they rely on to get their swoon-worthy styles.

Instagram is the go-to place for beauty inspiration, with #hair in the top 50 most-used tags on the platform. Top session stylists like ghd’s US brand ambassador, Olivia Culpo, boast millions of followers (2m and counting at last check!) while UK guest artist, Patrick Wilson, has more than 20k enthusiastic and engaged followers following his stories and utterly-desirable hair.

As a platform for hairstylists, its power is undeniable – and that’s why the brand has decided to take things pro in order to better serve its industry professionals. Says Jo Robertson, global head of education for ghd,

We’re delighted to launch our professional account. Now is exactly the right time for the brand to go its separate ways from our consumer-facing platform and provide the content that our hairdressing audience demand. We can’t wait to share plenty of professional-only content and, most importantly, to celebrate the immense amount of talent in the ghd salon and session network across the globe.

Follow ghd’s new professional account at @ghdhairpro – don’t forget to tag the brand in any professional work created with the products, and use the hashtag #ghdeducation to share your best creations.
