Hair at The Lounge

Share

After ten successful years, Hair at The Lounge in Truro, Cornwall was in need of a complete reinvention. So to celebrate the salon’s tenth birthday, a colourful, contemporary and exciting transformation took place – greeting customers into an exciting and energetic new space.

The atmosphere in the revamped salon is funky and contemporary, with more than just a flash of pop-art. For example, one whole wall is decorated by a vibrant mural by Newquay graffiti artist, Ben Allen. Ben’s commissions are inspired by underground surfing and skateboarding street scenes. His designs have graced the walls of big names including Jade Jagger, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Richard Branson – where a 40ft art work stands in his Notting Hill headquarters.

New salon furniture was created by German specialists, Olymp, and giant suspension light bulbs hang over the reception – creating the perfect light balance to the salon’s entrance. The refurbishment didn’t just stop at the interiors, a new easy to use website and a simplified salon pricing system is in place where clients can choose from the beginner to the mover, and finally to the shaker.

The new and improved pricing structure came from the way hotels create ‘simple’ tariffs, allowing The Lounge to offer affordable hairdressing in an incredibly stylish environment alongside an amazing concept.
