Hair by Mitch wins Best New Business in Kingston Business Awards

Mitch and her team at Hair by Mitch are celebrating after winning Best New Business at the Kingston Business Awards 2011, and the success didn’t stop there as they also received Highly Commended in the runners-up category for Best Independent Retailer.

Kingston Business Awards 2011, in association with Barclays, have been developed by South London Business and Kingston Chamber of Commerce, in order to reward and celebrate the many dynamic and innovative businesses in the borough.

Hair by Mitch was shortlisted from over 200 entries and then interviewed by a panel of judges. Best New Business was the most popular category and there were eight finalists competing for the award, which was presented on Thursday 24th November at a black tie awards banquet.

The judges commented that this fledgling business, which only started in 2009, had the courage to start in the face of a recession and had succeeded through hard work, determination and impressive attention to detail across all aspects of the business.
