Hairven Salon based in Gedling, Nottingham have again won East Midlands Hair Salon of the Year at a prestigious awards ceremony held at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel Manchester on Sunday 30th March - sponsored by Fake Bake UK and organised by Creative Oceanic.

The night was hosted by the glamorous Sally Hudson, presenter of Capital FM Manchester Drive Time along with the Capital FM team. It was a glittering affair with a selection of VIP’s attending to support the industry which makes us all look and feel like celebrities.

Hairven were nominated by their clients, not just because Hairven has some of the most talented stylists but because their core focus is the client. The English Hair and Beauty Awards is very much a celebration of home grown local talent, so for one of our own to bring this prestigious award home again is a fantastic achievement. Collette Osborne, salon director said of her salon's win,

We are overwhelmed and delighted at this latest accolade. We are so proud to be representing Nottingham in this way! We cannot believe we won for the second year in a row, we are so lucky to have the most amazing clients who are more like friends and family to us which makes our job so much easier.

The Hairven team are also excited to be finalised in the top three for the 'This is Nottingham' Business Awards 2014 sponsored by Freeth Cartwright, which could not be timed better as they are about to open a new bigger refitted hair & beauty salon to cater for increased demand.

The official charity partner for this year’s English Hair & Beauty Awards event was the Make-A-Wish Foundation, with UK donations raised on the night going directly to the charity. Make-A-Wish Foundation UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Since being established in the UK in 1986, they have granted over 7,800 wishes. Hairven also donated their services to Make A Wish to help them raise further funds after the event.
