Harajuku Lovers: Not Just a Fragrance, This is Pop Art

Share

Harajuku Lovers ‘Pop Electric’ are inspired by modern street murals and sculpture, looking like they were formed in simple vinyl, dipped in molten lustrous colour chrome, then frozen in time as the metal drips over the doll’s body.

The new Harujuku Lovers ‘Pop Electric’ collection was manufactured by GS Fragrance Group. GS Fragrance Group CEO Phil Zellner said,

It was a real pleasure working with Gwen to bring the new collection of fragrances to life. It was a fun challenge executing her creative vision for the dolls and making it a reality. The final products are beautiful pieces of art that hold amazing fragrances that we are all very proud of and excited to share with the world!

Speaking on the brand, Gwen Stefani commented,

Harajuku Lovers fragrances are something I’m really proud of, we have put so much energy and love into not just the creation of the fragrance but into making the bottles like collectible pop art.

Developed by Givaudan, these five new scents take a different turn from her past fragrances, which were first launched in 2005, further emphasising the unique evolution through which these dolls have undergone. Each fragrance represents the next stage in each Harajuku girl’s existence, paying tribute to her distinctive personalities and personal growth.

The original fragrance packaging has been re-imagined and born into something truly original, whilst still keeping the five distinct personalities of the Harajuku dolls.
