HJ Live will be taking place in London this February, alongside Professional Beauty London; one of the largest beauty and spa trade shows in Europe.
The professional-only event will be hosted at ExCel in East London, and promises to provide an enviable line up of education, inspiration and shopping for salon owners and stylists of all levels.
With free entry, it’s an ideal day out for the entire salon team with networking, know-how and plenty of special show offers to ensure everyone is gaining the knowledge they need in the areas they want to improve.
Guests will be able to get up close and personal with leading industry names on three free stages throughout the show, including a special focus on men’s hairdressing courtesy of a new partnership with Wahl. Their dedicated men’s stage will include barbering and men’s hair presentations from names including Tom Chapman, Ruffians and Menspire, all hosted by Alan Beak from Ruger Barbers in Manchester.
On other live stages, guests will be able to see leading cutters, colourists and stylists at work as they perform live model transformations and share expert tips, techniques and tricks – all for free. It’s the best place to hear about new trends first, as well as gaining insight into how to make the look work for clients back at the salon. On the HJ Stage, in association with the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, leading names including HOB Salons, RUSH, Mahogany and Trevor Sorbie Art Team will be taking to the stage in live cut and colour presentations, designed to motivate and inspire.
As well as providing inspiration and ideas from the live stages, the show is also the perfect place to do some shopping for the salon. Names continue to be announced, but leading brands including Wahl, Organic Pure Care, Mago Hair, RiRi Hair, Nourkrin, Insight and Amargan Hair Therapy are amongst those confirmed. They’ll all be providing special show offers to guests, exclusive to HJ Live. As well as enjoying discounted prices, guests will also be able to chat with suppliers about business, retail tips and promotional offers, and have the chance to try before they buy to find the right products for them.
While creativity is at the heart of hairdressing, HJ also recognises that business know-how is essential to the growth of any salon, which is why the show will also be focusing on nurturing business talent through an inspiring education program. The ‘Support our Salons’ campaign includes two days of seminars on pressing issues including maternity leave, recruitment and competition, hosted by industry experts. Salon owners will also be able to get to know brands and suppliers all weekend long, develop their commercial skills and network with industry peers.
And, for salons thinking of extending their beauty offering, dual-entry to the show means they can check out what’s big in the professional spa and beauty industry with access to Professional Beauty London too. Top-name brands that will be providing show offers and information include Elemis, Decléor and Dermalogica. There’s also education on offer, with expert-led seminars on pressing beauty topics, including mental health, sleep and nutrition.
For all the latest news on the show, check out the show app which will provide up-to-the-minute information on new products, show offers, seminar timings and exhibitors.
With hair, beauty and business information all under one roof, HJ Live is the must-visit show for February – and all for free!
