HOB Salons Crowned London Salon and Regional Salon Group at 2012 Hair Magazine Awards

With HOB Salons finishing off 2011 with a number of award successes, 2012 began no differently, seeing the award-winning group crowned with London Salon and Regional Salon Group 2012 at The Hair Magazine Awards last night.

The event, which took place at London’s Altitude 360’, saw the top names in the hairdressing industry come together and see a night hosted by the Hair Magazine team alongside celebrity stylist Andrew Barton and The Xtra Factor’s Caroline Flack.

As the awards commenced, the HOB Salons team awaited anxiously to hear the results of their categories. The first to be announced was London Salon, where HOB Salons Camden took the crown. Taking to the stage was 2008, 2009 & 2011 British Hairdresser of the Year and HOB Salons’ International Creative Director, Akin Konizi, HOB Academy Manager Robert Resnick and Salon Manager Gillian Lindsay.

With 23 salons located from London to Leeds, the next award to be announced was Regional Salon Group, and as the previous 2007 and 2008 winners, HOB Salons proved the contender to beat. HOB Directors Akin Konizi and Clive Collins took to the stage following the announcement and expressed their joy for winning such a sought-after title.

Hair Magazine Awards is one of the most prominent events in the hairdressing industry and following the awards ceremony, the glamorous star-studded event saw the likes of The Only Way is Essex’s Lauren Pope DJ-ing, whilst the Made In Chelsea girls mingled amongst the crowds.

Speaking of the evening’s wins, current British Hairdresser of the Year, Akin Konizi commented,
