HOB Salons Take a Double Win at the Wella Professionals TrendVision Award UK & Ireland Final 2014

Nestor Sanchez from HOB Salons Camden has been awarded one of the highest hairdressing accolades in the UK & Ireland, winning the Gold Award in the ‘Young Talent’ category on Monday 6th October 2014 at the Wella Professionals TrendVision UK & Ireland Final - one of the world’s most prestigious annual hairdressing competitions.

Not the only HOB Salons member to take home a title, Alex Freeman from HOB Leeds took Silver in the ‘Colour’ Award marking him as one of the best colourists in the country.

Celebrating ten years of award-winning creativity and talent, the TrendVision Awards sees hundreds of hairdressers competing in this magnificent event hosted by Jo Whiley.

Nestor and Alex, as well as HOB Camden’s Peter Burkill, competed against hundreds of hairdressers from across the UK & Ireland at Regional Heats earlier this year to secure their position in the final, held at the prestigious Roundhouse in London’s Camden. The UK & Ireland Final saw them compete against the most talented young hairdressers, with Nestor taking home the Gold and Alex the Silver.

The next step for Nestor is to take his win international as he represents the UK at the International TrendVision Awards in Monaco in November. He will also join the Wella Professionals mentoring programme where he will learn from the industry’s top names including Akin Konizi, Bruno Marc, Leonardo Rizzo and Jayson Gray. Speaking of his Gold win, Nestor said,

Winning the Wella Professionals TrendVision Award Young Talent UK final is a dream come true. HOB always encourages creativity, promotes new talent and pushes you into the path you want to follow. I am already thinking about Monaco and can’t wait to be a part of the International final.
