Introducing the 2019 Schwarzkopf Professional Young Artistic Team

Share

Schwarzkopf Professional is ecstatic to announce their brand new, super talented 2019/20 Young Artistic Team!

The judging day took place at Easton Regal Hairdressing in London, where lots of young talented hairdressers worked hard to impress the judges with their skill, technique and creativity. The judging panel included John Spanton, the Creative Colour Director of hairdressing group Trevor Sorbie, Hairdressers Journal Editor Laura Husband, and industry star and session stylist Peter Burkill. These six, super skilful hairdressers dazzled the judges with their detailed presenting skills, enthusiasm and creative flair.

They kick started their year together with a three day team building workshop held at Billi Currie. The first day was spent with Catherine Adams where they were properly introduced to the rest of the team and given a summary of what exciting things they can expect from this year. Sophie Perfect from Options said,

I’m so glad we got the first day to introduce ourselves properly to each other, it was great to bond with the team and Schwarzkopf Professional. I feel so lucky to have been given this amazing opportunity!

Tuesday was a busier day for the team where they learnt presentation skills from none other than the extremely talented and knowledgeable Debbie G. Mitchell Gough from Hensmans Salons said,

We were given an insight into presenting ourselves to the media, on stage and to groups of people. It was brilliant and so eye opening! Debbie is such a great and inspirational lady to work with and the knowledge she has is endless!

The team also took part in several exercises throughout the day where they focused on presenting to each other and putting the skills they had learnt into practice. Their final day was spent with Sarah Giblin from Schwarzkopf Professional who presented a social media seminar. After this, Sarah then took the team out and about in London to capture some images for their social media, keeping in mind what they had learnt. Molly Drummond from Hooker and Young said,

The social media day with Sarah was amazing! It gave us a better view of the way that the hairdressing industry is going and how current we have to be to keep up with the trend in the market that is social media. I feel since this day I have made a conscious effort to try and build my social media page and include better and more content.

Justine Weir from Tweedie & Marshall added:

The social media workshop was super beneficial to me. I’ve learnt how to promote myself through my social media pages which has already helped a lot! I can’t wait to go back down to London with the team and keep learning!

It sounds like the Young Artistic Team thoroughly enjoyed their induction days and we cannot wait to follow their journey throughout the next year. Olivia Bullivant from En Route concluded,

I had such an amazing few days with the team learning from incredibly talented people in the hairdressing industry. I already feel like I’ve learnt so much! My favourite part of the workshop was putting what I had learnt into practice and exploring London to find the perfect pictures for my social media!

Mitchell added,

Overall, I had such a great time with the guys! Everyone we met was so inspirational and brought out the best in us. I can’t wait to get stuck into the rest of the year with the team!
