Introducing... The Edit

Share

ghd Professional is proud to introduce The Edit; their new and interactive approach to hairdressing education.

The Edit is a series of videos featuring a broad range of ghd brand ambassadors, ghd Professional creative artists and other inspiring hairstylists all showcasing their own take on hair.

Joining ambassadors Zoe Irwin and Adam Reed are Ria Kulik, Aliona Davy, Patrick Wilson, Luke Benson, Dafydd Thomas, Chris Southern, Charlotte Mensah and Leighanne Regan - with more to come!

Starting with 40 videos, The Edit can be found on the ghd Professional YouTube channel and will be regularly updated with fresh, new content and exciting updates from the brand.

Each video will consist of one artist, showcasing their own personal hairdressing style. The videos will all be visually different, to better represent the different artists involved. In each video, the chosen hairdresser will showcase a finished look that reflects their own aesthetic, before breaking it down into techniques, tips and tricks to get the look.

As well as sharing practical information about the style, each video will also include an insight into the artist in question, as they share their own inspirations, anecdotes and stories. From insightful journeys about making it in session work to moving stories about motivation and purpose, this series of videos promise to provide far more than just step-by-steps.

Videos will be released on a weekly basis, with themes linking together each series of uploads. Concepts will be shared further on social media, with previews and teaser clips to entice viewers in and inspire them to get involved in the conversation.

Jo Robertson, ghd global head of education, says:

At ghd, we understand that education is always evolving. We know that stylists like to learn on their own time, at their own pace - and that online education is key. We’re still proud of our face-to-face courses, but The Edit is all about taking that education and elevating it - and making it available to everyone, anytime, anywhere.

We’re extremely proud of all our Queenmakers - the stylists up and down the country, making their clients feel like Queens - and wanted to celebrate them. That’s why we’ve put them centre stage in The Edit, and handed over creative control. We know that every hairdresser is different, which is why we never want to present just one trend or dictate one technique - this way, you can tune into whichever artist appeals to you, then watch them create in their natural environment.

No matter which kind of Queen your client is - or which kind of Queen you love to create - we know you’ll find something inspiring in The Edit. We can’t wait to see your interpretations of the looks, and look forward to introducing more videos and artists over the coming weeks and months.
