Jason Hall Hairdressing and Lees & Thompson Confirmed for Edinburgh International Fashion Festival 2012

Jason Hall Hairdressing will assist Gary Lees of Lees & Thompson at the inaugural Edinburgh International Fashion Festival 2012. The festival is a fusion of salon and catwalk shows, master classes, exhibitions, talks, music and gala events.

This overdue addition to Edinburgh’s International Festivals will be a stimulating environment for some of the most respected and creative people from across the industry to share ideas with each other and the audience.

For four days from August 16th 2012, Summerhall will showcase fashion as an art form. This unique event will allow visitors to witness the innovators behind the brands and gain an insider’s view of a selection of the most creative people within fashion today.

Within the programme is a special focus on the relationships between fashion and science, design, art and architecture, taking a look behind the curtain to observe ideas at their genesis.

At the heart of the EIFF will be Summerhall, the capital’s newest award winning venue for the arts (in the former Royal Dick Veterinary College on the Meadows) with some of the events taking place in other venues including the National Museum of Scotland and various Cultural Institutes.

The 2012 Edinburgh International Fashion Festival line-up includes Juergen Teller, Stella Tennant, Amanda Harlech, Hussein Chalayan, Sissel Tolaas, Kostas Murkudis, Aurora Passero, Borcher, Harvey Nichols, Prof. Ludovica Lumer, Frazer Parfum, Bebaroque, Pam Hogg (with Rankin), with more exciting announcements soon.
