Lauren Rees Gets Plenty of Attention at VQ Day

Spirit Hair Team apprentice Lauren Rees recreated her award-winning Salon Cymru 80s blow-dry for guests at this year’s VQ Day in Wales.
VQ Day, held on the 5th June, is a National celebration of vocational qualifications (VQs) for students, apprentices, teachers and employers. It shines a light on and recognises the millions of talented and skilled people throughout the UK who are awarded VQs.
Lauren, who attended the VQ Day event to represent ISA Training, caught the eye of BBC Wales’s weatherman and host of VQ Day, Owain Wyn Evans. Owain wasn’t the only one impressed with Lauren’s work and creativity as Welsh Government's Deputy Minister for Education and Skills, Jeff Cuthbert, also took a keen interest in Lauren’s styling ability.
