Browns are proud to announce the opening of their new salon in the heart of Lockerbie town centre. Due to popular demand from local clients, community and businesses, browns had no choice but to open their newly updated hair salon at 4 Station Road.

Lockerbie is close to the hearts of the entire browns family as both Nelson and Jacquie Brown attended their secondary school there. In the manner of giving back, Nelson decided to bring his new and exciting fashion-led salon to the Lockerbie high street.

To coincide with the salon opening, browns were approached by several local community leaders to produce a fashion event which will run on the same evening as the Lockerbie Christmas lights switch on – 30th November 2013.

In true browns style the team have gathered local designers and boutiques to showcase their latest lines on the night, these include ELKBI, Vintage Sisters, The Wee Wardrobe, Wikdest Demin Dreams and Beau Boutique. The fashion collections will be styled by browns’ own in-house fashion stylist Katie Dyet, and Nicola Lamont from Jacquie’s Beauty will head the make-up team. There will also be a spotlight presentation by Nelson Brown for all the audience to enjoy.

With Nelson and his team freshly back from Milan after showcasing hair trends in front of 900 Italian hairdressers, the event promises to be a first for Lockerbie and Dumfries and Galloway.

The evening is free for all to enjoy and is open to anyone who wishes to support Lockerbie and its fashion businesses by placing it back on the map for quality. For more information on the event contact Katie Dyet at [email protected].
