Marlon Hawkins Inspires Project Colour

Share

Award-winning Marlon Hawkins spent the day with the Project Colour team talking trends, tones, and techniques.

Artistic director at Brooks & Brooks in London, Marlon spent the day at L’Oreal Academy transforming his model with subtle but fashionable colour, while showing the team how to photograph their finished looks for social media.

Project Colour member April Mash, said: “Our day with Marlon was absolutely amazing, I think we all agreed that he is unbelievably passionate about his craft and it really shows in the way he presents and teaches, which was so inspiring to see and learn from. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing visually how Marlon’s mind works as such an amazing colourist and I took a lot away in regard to sectioning patterns and working from inspirations and ideas to create something unique and beautiful. It was really fun to be able to apply his advice to a head-block and play around with colour in a new way.”

Sophie Perfect added: “What an inspiring day. I feel like I have learnt loads of new tips and tricks and cannot wait to try them out in the salon.”

Luke Logan enthused: “Marlon’s days was amazing, he really helped with colour placement and showed real passion towards his craft!”
