Men’s Hair Workshop Heads Outside of London for the First Time

Share

On Monday 22nd February the Men’s Hair Workshop was at Alan Howard in Stockport for an intimate workshop focusing on the skills and expertise involved in male hairdressing. It was a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts and was the first time the event has been held outside of London.

Robert Eaton was the host for the evening and introduced the seven experts which included Simon Tuckwell of Zullo & Holland; James Earnshaw of Francesco Group; Ben Sutcliffe of KH Salons; Inky Steve of Barber Barber UK; Jodie Palmer of Russell Eaton; Lauren Arstall of The Colour Room and Dean Bradwell of Scarlett Moon.

The Masters worked individually with those attending to ensure they got the most out of the workshop and an array of advice was provided throughout. There was a real buzz in the room as the workshop got underway with students benefitting from a one-to-one experience. The Masters really showcased their own skills as they worked to enhance confidence and knowledge. It was incredible to see the experts conveying expertise in aspects of scissor over comb; fading and disconnection to ensure the students created strong shapes and blended finishes.

It was a fantastic addition to the calendar and a great example of the encouraging response to the ‘extension of The Fellowship family’ throughout the North. James Earnshaw worked on developing knowledge in blending the overall look, while also ensuring the understanding of sectioning techniques. Simon Tuckwell from Zullo & Holland said,

I had a great time mentoring the first Fellowship Men's Hair Workshop. The students were already confident haircutters; it was great to showcase our different techniques so they could take it back to the salon and see something new.
