London Fashion Week kicked off with a bang on Friday 13th September showcasing some of the world’s best design talent from the likes of FELDER FELDER, J. W. Anderson, Eudon Choi, Mulberry, Rokanda Illincic and Burberry Prorsum amongst many others.

Accompanying the gorgeous designs were show stopping hairstyles which were provided by some of the fashion industry’s biggest session stylists. Never ones to miss out on London Fashion Week, Nelson Brown and Trae Corbett of browns in Dumfries assisted alongside session stylists Samantha Hillerby, Sam McKnight and James Pecis to help create and bring to life the designers grand vision.

See Nelson and Trae’s Fashion Week round-up below:

Jasper Conran – Nelson Brown assisting Samantha Hillerby @ Streeters London
Jasper Conran’s collection was fresh and clean with a subtle hint of a 1950s holiday camp. Cute sundresses, swing skirts and crisp white tops. The hair was fuss-free, long and natural with slight movement.

John Rocha – Nelson Brown assisting Samantha Hillerby @ Streeters London using Mark Hill Styling Products and BaByliss PRO UK curling tongs
A spring and summer romance was displayed on the catwalk of John Rocha. Gorgeous floral prints adorned stunning silk dresses. Hair was crimped with added volume to give shape and form which worked alongside the textured garments.

L’Wren Scott – Nelson Brown assisting Sam McKnight @ Premier Hair and Make-up
Japanese inspired, L’Wren Scott’s show was fuelled with delicate kimonos, gorgeous cherry blossom and box tailoring. The make-up was kept neutral with sparkling eye shadow and pink pouts, whilst the hair was cut into a short bob with blunt fringes to complete the overall look.

Whistles – Trae Corbett assisting James Pecis @ D+V Management
Whistles were summer pastels at its best. Mint greens, blush pinks and washed out denims presented a fresh and clean palette for their spring/summer catwalk. The hair and make-up followed the same lines. The hair looked smooth and healthy with plenty of natural movement, whilst the make-up was kept natural, clean and fresh faced.

Simone Rocha – Trae Corbett and Nelson Brown assisting James Pecis @ D+V Management
Simone Rocha gave the feel of a sophisticated wedding with a punk edge, styling looks with pearl studded knee highs; Lucite soled lace ups and green sprayed, twisted Mohawks. The make-up was kept neutral for a more youthful appeal.

Meadham Kirchhoff – Nelson Brown and Trae Corbett assisting James Pecis @ D+V Management
The Meadham Kirchhoff show was a beautiful spectacle of old fashion fabrics teamed perfectly with ash blonde and orange plaited dos, complete with bows.

Paul Smith – Nelson Brown assisting Sam McKnight @ Premier Hair and Make-up
Wowing with colour, Paul Smith presented a vibrant palette of sunshine yellow, fresh blue and salmon pink, all grounded with navy separates, crisp whites and a sprinkling of chic black tailoring. The hair was polished and healthy looking with sleek styles and natural movement.
