New Look, New Line-up for ghd Professional Education

Share

As salons start to navigate the new normal, ghd professional is here to support the industry every step of the way – including with a new suite of education to help hairdressers to stay ahead of the game.

The new three-tier ghd professional education program is supported by an enhanced line-up of ghd educators, led by Global Head of Education, Dafydd Rhys Thomas.

Also developing and delivering education for ghd is Janine Jennings, Head of Education UK & ROI, and Amy Sontae, Global Creative Education Manager.

Brand new to the team is Chlöe Swift, who has joined the brand as Global Educator. A former member of the ghd Style Squad and successful freelance session stylist, Chlöe will be delivering education across all markets.

The new-look education offering from ghd will be delivered across three clear and concise categories: Salon Essentials, Trend, and Innovation.

  • Salon Essentials provides training in fundamental techniques for each tool in the ghd product line-up. Each Salon Essentials Edit covers four techniques and is built around a specific tool or range of tools: the Styler Edit, Styler+ Edit, Curve Edit, Hot Brush Edit, Oracle Edit and Helios Edit. Ideal for those new to ghd, styling or salons and stylists seeking to perfect their skills.
  • Trend will cover seasonal styling updates, with more advanced and editorial techniques. These sessions will include training on ghd’s Trend Reveal collections, as well as the Glitz the Season Christmas campaign looks. These dynamic, advanced sessions are perfect for those looking to offer enhanced styling options for clients, develop styling menus, or gain advanced skills for session and photographic work.
  • Innovation is product-led education, introducing salons and stylists to the latest launches from ghd. As industry-leading innovators, ghd’s developments in styling technology fuse the cutting-edge science of their Cambridge lab with the practical needs of hairdressers and their demands of consumers. During Innovation sessions, stylists and salons will be able to learn everything there is to know about the latest launches, from the tech to the techniques possible.

Dafydd says:

At ghd, we’re proud to offer comprehensive styling education for our salon partners. As we navigate new and challenging times for the hairdressing industry, it’s never been more important that stylists are on top of the latest trends and techniques, and that they can offer clients something really special that’s worth visiting the salon for. With our new streamlined education, hairdressers can choose the course that’s right for them – whether that’s finessing their fundamental styling skills, or more creative courses that offer trend-led techniques.
