Hot on the heels of an action-packed weekend at Salon International, the Fellowship headed to Manchester to join Hairdressers Journal at HJ Live North.

The free event, which took place at Manchester Central, was held in correlation with Professional Beauty, drawing thousands of hair and beauty professionals through the doors for two days of inspiration, education and networking.

At the heart of the show, the HJ Stage in association with the Fellowship for British Hairdressing brought a stellar line-up of talent, providing free hairdressing education to guests. As well as providing a live platform for members, the stage also provides a chance for the Fellowship to share its benefits with a wider audience of both existing and potential new members.

Day one saw the Gavin McIntyre Artistic Team, Trevor Sorbie Artistic Team for L’Oreal Professionnel, KH Artistic Team, Rick Roberts and Benjy Madle from Headhunters present their latest work, with live cuts, colours and styling to inspire. In the afternoon, it was over to HJ with the Saks Art Team, Robert Eaton, Guy Kremer with Jonny and JC and Giuseppe, Alison Scattergood and the Contemporary Art Team.

The day two line-up was equally diverse, featuring  Karoliina Saunders, The Hair Bank, Jordanna Cobella for Cobella, the Natasha Rose Artistic Team and Anne Veck, with HJ presenting Georgia Bell, Rick Roberts and Linton & Mac.

Over the course of the weekend, the Fellowship handed over control of its Instagram to two of its most prolific members. Karoliina Saunders and Rick Roberts, who have more than 15,000 followers between them on Instagram, took the reins on the Fellowship Instagram on the Sunday and Monday of the event.

Over the course of the two-day event, Rick and Karoliina shared highlights from their own shows on the HJ Stage, hosted in association with the Fellowship, as well as favourite looks from other guest artists on stage.

Between the two of them, the talented duo brought HJ Live to life for the Fellowship’s 25,000-strong audience, showcasing life behind the scenes and inspiring hair from their own unique perspective.
