After storming the Grammy’s, Sam Smith returned to the UK and last night stole the show at the BRIT Awards 2015, winning both ‘British Breakthrough Artist’ and the covetable ‘Global Success Award’.
On hand to make sure he was looking in award-winning shape was his trusted 'Hair God', Paul Edmonds. Sam’s perfectly coiffed quiff is now as recognisable on the red carpet, as are his dulcet tones on the stage!
Here are Paul Edmonds’ top tips on how to achieve Sam’s award-winning quiff:
- To cut, I use a clipper (without a guard), followed by scissors on the top leaving the front longer, which gives the quiff
- I dry Sam’s hair using Kerastase Form Fatale Gel, with a little Shu Uemura Clay Definer, before blow-drying with a round bristle brush
- To finish I use Clay Definer for texture, and I then mist Shu Uemura Sheer Laquer to give a great hold throughout his performances
