Battersea Power Station has announced the first chapter in its unfolding story, Circus West. Circus West will be London’s newest riverside village located on the Thames next to the iconic Power Station, and Paul Edmonds London has been announced as one of the first artisan retail partners present at Circus West.

In a line-up that will deliver the village feel, which the team at Battersea Power Station has sought to create for Circus West, the blend of commercial tenants ranges from fine dining through to a butcher, baker, florist and The Village Hall. Paul Edmonds salon is in good company.

Paul Edmonds comments,

After 30 years in our Knightsbridge location we have reached a point where we have an amazing client base, they recognise that we are a go to destination for the very best in hair and beauty. For a number of years we have been searching for a location to open a second salon within London that complements our brand values and was as internationally recognised as we are.

Battersea Power Station is an iconic development and when asked to participate in opening a unit at Circus West we found the opportunity we were looking for, a chance to showcase an extension of the Knightsbridge salon, keeping the quality and expertise of our service, but with a new contemporary feel. We love the modern and artisan vibe that Circus West offers and our clients south of the river will be thrilled to have a Paul Edmonds salon nearer to home, we also look forward to welcoming a new group of clients to the Paul Edmonds family.

We are really excited not only to be one of the first tenants announced but also to be a part of such an iconic development in the history of London, to be a part of this story going forwards and to share it with such great company, our fellow Circus West neighbours.

Paul Edmonds has been at the forefront of hair trends for the last 30 years, and as an ambassador for L’Oréal, Shu Uemura and Kérastase, he is widely known throughout the industry as a true style innovator and an absolute authority. From his celebrated and award-winning Knightsbridge salon, Paul and his expert team have built up a reputation for flawless service and expertise. As a destination for A-List celebrities, his clients range from Margot Robbie, Emma Thompson and Abbey Clancy, to Michelle Dockery, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sam Smith and Colin Farrell.

In 2017 Paul’s VIP clients will be crossing the Thames to Battersea for appointments at a second Paul Edmonds salon which is set to launch within Circus West.

Joanne Skilton, Head of Leasing, Battersea Power Station Development Company, commented,

The team at Battersea has looked carefully at all the elements needed to create both a great community and a great place. We have therefore put together a mix of local shops, restaurants and social amenities, which will not only give Circus West a distinctive neighbourhood feel, but make it a fantastic place for people to visit when it opens.

Perhaps the best example of Team Battersea’s commitment to a local tenant strategy can be seen with The General Store. We were approached by a number of big chains. However, we chose the route of these particular independent and local businesses as they have a proven track record in the area, connecting to the community they serve and creating that all important village feel, which is what people really want.
