The world is full of fantastic combinations; strawberries and cream, cheese and wine, and now Ministry of Hair Academy and renowned educator, Paul Falltrick.

With more than 30 years of hairdressing experience under his belt, a global reputation for education and countless award wins, Paul Falltrick is one of the industry’s best-loved and most established names, and now he is back in the UK and partnering with Ministry of Hair Academy to bring a world-class education offering to the industry.

Paul put the two years grounded in his hometown of Essex to evaluate what is most prized to him personally and his career:

Education has been essential to my personal and business growth throughout my career, but the downtime really gave me the time to deep dive into how to drive this further.

It is no secret that the intake into the industry is at an all-time low, but it is up to industry professionals to make a change and inspire the next generations to take on a creative career in hairdressing with excitement and drive.

There is nothing better than seeing someone else fall in love with this industry, helping them to reach their potential, inspiring creativity and being there when they get that all-important eureka moment when it all clicks. We have to take responsibility, not as a tick box but as an intentional daily process, to protect the future of our craft and make sure the next generation are excited for a career in hairdressing! – Paul Falltrick

Located in Basildon, Essex, Ministry of Hair Academy began in 2018 with three co-founders wanting to make a difference in the hairdressing training culture. The aim? To create an exciting but realistic hair environment for apprentices and private students to train within, something Paul feels passionate about too:

Classrooms have taught some of the most influential people in the industry, but, like everything in life, just because it’s the way we have always done it, doesn’t mean it is the best way. Creating realistic but creative environments for students to learn is a fantastic way to deliver education and prepares students for real eventualities as well as exposing them to bigger opportunities. Something both aspiring hairdressers and their employers can benefit from.

Daniel Lethbridge, co-founder of Ministry of Hair Academy adds:

Both myself and the co-founders of Ministry Hair Academy are very excited about working with Paul, we believe by combining our experience and passion for education we will bring a whole new dynamic and level of experience for everyone who trains at our academy. Our plan is to evolve education in the hairdressing industry and to improve salon life. A new day is dawning for apprenticeship education, the sky is the limit!

This partnership means education days will be available at both Ministry of Hair Academy in Basildon and gfc Hairdressing in Hornchurch and will offer NVQ level 1 and 2 education, perfect for entry level students as well as anyone wanting to retrain or refresh their current skills.  Paul concludes:

Educating is my biggest passion. On a personal level, it ensures I am always learning, keeping up to date with latest techniques and trends so I can offer the best education possible. But, for me, it really is about giving back and inspiring the next generations to love this craft as much as I do.

So, just like strawberries and cream or a gin and tonic, it is all about great combinations and Paul Falltrick and Ministry of Hair Academy is exactly that!
