The Trevor Sorbie salon group is celebrating after Art Team member, Petros Mairoudhiou scooped the 'Hair Trend' category at the Creative HEAD Most Wanted Awards.

Now in its 13th year, the Most Wanted awards, which are judged by hair, fashion and business icons, attracted VIP guests such as the beauty/health editor of Vogue, Jessica Diner and Millie Kendall MBE, co-founder of BeautyMART.

The 2014 'Hair Trend' category was judged by a panel of experts including beauty journalist Laura Bacharach, session stylist Tyler Johnston and celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford, and was sponsored by leading hair brand, Tangle Teezer. Petros’ stunning precision-cut bob, given a modern twist with a silver-blue Ombré colour, saw off more than 100 other entries to be judged the best on-trend image of the year.

Creative HEAD publisher, Catherine Handcock said,

Petros has combined an on-trend pastel colour with an edgy cut to create a look that’s surprisingly versatile and wearable. It’s a striking image that thoroughly deserves this award.

Of his win Petros said,

I’m delighted to have won the Hair Trend category. Creative HEAD is totally on point with its awards. I love that the awards make our industry feel exciting and fresh with a very cool mix of fashion and hair. For me it was everything to win this award; I was in a room with our industry’s brightest stars and icons and for my image to be up there was a dream come true.
